Landon Roy Knickerbocker, 11 months old, Luana, Iowa, died Saturday, December 5, 2009, at his home following complications since birth. Landon was born on December 26, 2008, LaCrosse, WI, to Shannon and Jennifer (Heins) Knickerbocker.

Landon was a beloved member of our family and a joy to his parents and siblings. We were only able to hold and cuddle him for a brief time, but we could not have loved him more. Now he is in heaven where he can be held and loved by God. Landon will live in our hearts forever.

Survivors include his parents, Shannon and Jennifer Knickerbocker of Luana, Iowa and three siblings, Ann, Emily and Michael Knickerbocker, Luana; paternal grandparents, Gayle and Ray Rose, Monona and Ned Fox, TN; maternal grandparents, Steve and Muriel Heins, Luana; paternal great-grandmother, Ethel Fox, Prairie du Chien, WI; maternal great-grandmother, Imojean Ingles, Monona and a host of many other family members.

Landon was preceded in death by paternal great-grandfathers, Leo Knickerbocker and Luroy Fox; maternal great-grandparents, Raymond Ingles and Glen and Bernita Heins; great-aunt, Mary Landt and cousin, Brandon Frazier.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
