Anna M. Kurth, 84, formerly of St. Olaf, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Elkader Care Center. She was born in Clermont, on September 20, 1925, to Edwin and Anna (Anderson) Gunderson. Anna graduated from Clermont High School. She was united in marriage to Glen Kurth on September 25, 1946. They farmed their entire life in Wagner Township.

Anna enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and reading autobiographies. In her last years, she enjoyed bingo, special music and activities at the care center.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Anne) Kurth, Luana, Ramona (Mark) Benson, Elgin, Kurtis Kurth, Prairie du Chien, WI; grandchildren, David Kurth, St. Olaf, Corey (Tori) Benson, Middleton, WI, Angela (Jason) Hill, DeWitt, Nicholas (Meg) Benson, Clermont, Alisha (Shawn) Merwin, Prairie du Chien, WI, Kari (Cliff) Suhr, Ankeny, Michelle (Kyle) Timmerman, Durant, Brittney Kurth, Waterloo and seven great-grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in December of 1991, and two brothers, Emmett Gunderson and Martin Gunderson.
